ELIZA’S POV After my time with Alexander, I wasted no time in going back to my pack. My mind was set. I stepped into the study, where my trusted Beta, Lily, and Gamma, Frederick, were already waiting for me. Their expressions were unreadable, but I could sense their concern. “How are the reconstruction efforts progressing?” I asked, settling into my chair. Lily handed me a detailed report. “We’re making headway. The outer defenses have been reinforced, and the warriors are undergoing intensive training. The people are rallying, Eliza. They believe in you.” I nodded as I looked at the reports “Good. And the supply lines?” Frederick answered this time “Restored. We have enough resources to last the winter. But, Eliza—” I looked up sharply at his hesitation. “But what?” Frederick exchanged a glance with Lily before speaking. “Leaving now, when things are finally stabilizing, is a risk. You are the Alpha. If word gets out that you are gone, even temporarily, it could shake the pack’s confi
