Jeremy walked over. He hugged Corinne close to him and soothed her back gently to calm her. He then led her into the house with Lucas. After a few phone calls, Lucas came back to the living room and said, "It's true. Anya has been out of prison for a month, but she hasn't come home. We discovered that she worked a few jobs recently but resigned from all of them the day before yesterday. Nobody knows where she is now." Corinne could not sit still after hearing that. She stood up and said, "It has to be her! Why did she kidnap Joey? What is she trying to do?" Lucas looked at Corinne with a mix of compassion and helplessness, but he really did not have any other information that could help her locate Anya.
