Katelyn’s POV
The morning sunlight poured through the windows as I drove across the city with Fallon, both of us silent and lost in thought.
Everyone in the car was tense, but there was also a feeling of hope. The events of the past few weeks had finally reached a turning point, and today was about courage and truth.
Fallon was the first to speak. “Are you nervous?” she asked, her hands folded tightly in her lap.
I looked out at the familiar city streets. “A little. I just want to be there for them. They’ve waited so long to be believed.”
The morning at the office was buzzing, even with the noise of keyboards and printers, I could feel a different kind of energy building in the newsroom.
It was a mix of tension and hope that something important was about to happen.
Fallon had been at my side all morning. We traded updates on the story, our voices low and quick. For days, we’d been helping the current captain of the women’s volleyball team track down the former captain.
