“Why did the mall manager pay you obeisance?” Natalie asked curiously. “Are you hiding anything from me?” Tyler shrugged casually. “He’s an acquaintance of my father, and I helped him out once. That’s about it.” While the young woman was unsatisfied with his answer, she decided not to pursue it further. But she was determined to find out the truth one day. “You were quite feisty earlier,” Tyler observed. “I told you once you don’t need to defend me everywhere. I can take care of myself.” “Hmph,” Natalie replied with a scornful expression, which made her look even more adorable. “I couldn’t digest that little bitch’s insults. She got on my nerves.” Tyler chuckled and was inclined to make a catfight sound but decided against it. “Do you disapprove of my behavior then?” Natalie teased, poking him in the chest playfully. “No, actually, I enjoyed it,” came the reply. “It makes you more enticing than usual.” His words made Natalie blush, and she turned away sharply so he wouldn’t notice her
