Chapter SEVENTY-NINE

Dane I couldn’t sleep. Not after what my father had said to me. It was wrong. So wrong in so many ways. He wanted me to be as brutal as he was. Claiming that I wasn’t strong enough to lead the pack because I didn’t understand what staring at blood or gore felt like. I didn’t need to feel that to understand what life was about. But he had forced me to. And now, I found myself heading for a mission I didn’t want to do. I stirred on the bed staring at the ceiling wondering how I had gotten myself into this mess.
