Chapter 15

Jake looked at me as if I committed a sin, as if having a child with Mason in particular sickened him to the core. Maybe it was reality smacking him in the face and now the fact that I've had a child with someone else has finally sunk in. I felt quietly almost but I knew it has because of the mate bond that I was feeling guilty about this. If Jake were a stranger his judgment wouldn't affect me at all. Mason sensed the extremely awkward tension in the air and he got up off the couch and stood by my side. "Are you OK?" He whispers and I nod, Jake glares at Mason as his eyes turn pitch black and he growls ferociously at him. Jake takes an intimidating step forward and I stand protectively in front of Mason. Jake was trying to pick a fight over dominance, his wolf thinks that Mason's trying to take Jake's mate away from him. "Jake calm down, Mason's Jennifer’s father and my friend but nothing more OK. He's not trying to take me away, so calm down" I order him and his wolf hesitantly
