Chapter 9

Jake's POV I was so excited, finally after 10 years of searching we finally had Bryn's exact location. It's been so hard this past decade, having only just found my true mate and having her whisked away from me so easily. I felt as if I didn't do my job to protect her and I feel as if this was all my fault that she was taken. We were almost at the pack house an hour later and as we pulled up into the territory, I knew something was wrong. Charlie obviously sensed it as well as he spoke up, "Do you guys smell that?" He asks and we all get out of the car and take a deep breath through the nose. "Blood" Chase said with a worried expression, and I'm sure my expression matched his. "We have to go find Bryn" I say running off towards the pack house and was startled at what I saw. There were wolfs fighting and dead bodies laid on the grass tinted with blood. Luckily, it looked as if the battle was almost over so I ran into the pack house in search of the Alpha. I found a group of high rank
