After what seemed like minutes, but in reality was only fifteen seconds, I stood up. I walked around the room, touching my familiar possessions as I walked past them. Then I got the idea to go outside. My heart sunk at the fact that if I went outside, I would see everything that was destroyed. Everything that was taken from me. Slowly but surely, one step at a time, I made my way towards the door and placed my hand on the handle. I pulled it and stepped out. I froze. Everyone I ever knew was out doing their daily tasks. Some had stacks of firewood in their arms, while others carried baskets full of berries. Some even walked past me without sparing me a glance. I found that weird. Everyone in our little pack of rogues knew who I was and they would always greet me as they passed. I decided to walk out all the way and explore.
