Chapter129: An Unexpected Turn

I was coming back from a visit away from my pack, this time, not with the intention to make Millicent jealous, I was done with that but on some official business when I was attacked. 'He is Christopher!' someone said. 'I told you he was still alive!' I was going to tell them they had it all wrong because Alpha Christopher was dead and I was his brother Alpha Sylvester but before I knew what was happening, I was being attacked. I realised too late what their intent was. But for my fast reflexes, I do not know what would have happened. I killed them. There were four of them. From their looks, they were rogues. I managed to get back to my pack without any further mishaps but I was injured and losing blood. As I staggered in, the first person I saw was Millicent.  'Sylvester, what happened?' she asked, wide eye. 'Nothing!' I said and staggering upstairs to my room. She looked after me for a little while and rushed after me, held me on the arm and helped me up the remaining stairs toy room.
