"There must be rabbits or wild birds in the forest," Winnie suggested softly, her golden curls catching the last rays of sunlight. "Maybe we could catch something?"
Alpha Yuvan shook his head. "It's getting dark. Hunting will be difficult without proper night vision."
Henry gestured toward the shoreline, his calculating gaze scanning the horizon. "What about seafood? The coastline might offer something we could salvage for dinner."
"Yes," Winnie nodded eagerly, "If we can't hunt meat, seafood will have to do."
Zayden, still seething from his earlier encounter with Lorelei but unwilling to show weakness in front of cameras, forced himself to join the conversation. "Fine. Seafood tonight, and tomorrow we'll hunt properly."
The four of them made their way down to the beach as twilight descended.
When they arrived, Winnie's priorities immediately shifted at the sight of the spectacular sunset painting the ocean crimson and gold.
"I need a photo of this," she exclaimed, her preening
