Chapter 22 LUCAS POV I yawned and stretched without opening my eyes, my arms reaching up to the sky. I felt the cool morning air on my skin and I enjoyed the feeling of being awake. I knew that I was in bed, but I couldn't tell what time it was or how long I had been asleep. I could hear the sound of people talking but I couldn't make out what they were saying. I opened my eyes and shrieked in shock as I didn't expect to see them staring at me. They burst into giggles and I soon joined in, looking into their happy faces. "You almost gave daddy a heart attack." "Good morning dad." they echoed still giggling. "Morning" I responded giving them kisses on their cheeks. "Why do I get the feeling that you didn't sleep at all? I asked. " We did sleep but just a little. We were too excited " Claire said "Excited about what?" I asked feigning ignorance. Color quickly drained from their faces and they were almost crying as they looked at me with terror in th
