"Lock the door!" The guard stepped forward immediately. The iron door slammed shut with a final, deafening clang. Curses followed us from inside the cell. I didn't look back, taking Anna's arm and striding away. from the cellar. The sunlight outside was harsh, but I felt chilled to the bone. The truth was finally clear, but it couldn't bring back my father or the Alpha. Their deaths were the price of one man's ambition and selfishness.
