My parents rushed me straight into registering our marriage without even having a wedding ceremony. It was as if they were afraid I'd change my mind and insisted on getting me officially registered.
I had also finally laid my first relationship with Lawrence bare with Joseph.
After hearing my past, Joseph caressed the pale red scar on my wrist, heartache written on his face as he leaned down to place a gentle kiss on it. "I'll handle the surveillance footage, so you don't have to worry about it. I'll bring you to pick out your wedding dress once your wrist heals up completely."
