Later, when the scar on my wrist had faded completely, Joseph brought me dress shopping.
Right outside of the bridal boutique, Lawrence showed up with a bouquet of lisianthus again, after all this while. "I'm not marrying Ivy anymore, Mirabelle. I've finally figured out what I want now. The one I love is you!"
I turned away in disgust. At the sight of his face, I was forced to recall the scene I saw on my birthday, where he had gotten down on one knee and proposed to Ivy. And now, Lawrence was using the same lips he had kissed another woman to tell me that he actually loved me. What a joke!
I didn't even bother to look at him. He couldn't even hold a candle to Joseph now with his messy stubble and unkempt face.
