"There's no need to go there and for that thing. I will wait for you inside the black Maserati parked in front of the cafe where you are working," Alejandro said with a very authoritative tone. "You don't understand, Sir. I am working and before I leave, I need to formally advise my boss. I still need to hand them my resignation letter and follow their process." She insisted. She can't help but to raise her voice at the man she's talking to on the other line. Why does he try to command her? Does she know about the process of her job? She rolled her eyes. Just give up! "This will be the last time that I will say this, you don't need that resignation. Just walk away and get inside the car! You will not work there anymore so it wouldn't matter." This girl is really getting on his nerves. Alex is starting to get irritated already with Diane. This woman is so stubborn. He isn't listening to her.? The woman didn't respond. "Do not wait for me to come out and go inside your cafe and tell your manager to fire you from your job. Then, you will have no other choice," Alex said in a very serious tone. Wow, this man is so arrogant. Something came up in Diane's mind. "Okay then. Go. Let's see if you can really fire me. Go out and prove that you can have the boss fired then I will marry you without asking any question!" she answered the man and hung up. He is the most conceited guy she had ever met. Shame on him! He is a hunk but why does he need to pay her just to marry him. And who does he think he is? Can he just fire me without any reason? She thinks that Alejandro is really out of his mind. Maybe one of his businesses went bankrupt and now he is crazy and she's the one he chose to pester. This is not luck then but a misfortune. Diane has these thoughts in her head when the cafe's door suddenly opened. A familiar face came inside; a tall and muscular man standing 6' feet in her assumption entered. His blue eyes were sparkling like crystal at her as if saying; he already won the game they're playing. His round face, just like the first time he saw him, is perfectly shaved. So clean. She suddenly imagines how it feels when their faces are next to each other. What a mind you have, Diane?? His nose is broad and his lips are lush.? He looks very charming with the dimples on his cheeks. Well, one of his assets that can easily attract attention is his Adam's apple. Goodness, he caught her staring at him again but this time, Alejandro's face is unexplainable. She cannot understand what he's up to or what's playing in his mind. Alejandro went straight inside the manager's office even without knocking. After a few minutes, the manager came out, followed by the man. "Ms. Diane, please pack your things, I am sorry but you are fired," the manager uttered but it seems that he is just forced to say that. Diane was shocked. Seriously? For just a matter of minutes that the man went inside the manager's office, she got fired? Who's this man she bumped into? Because of this man, she got fired in just a blink of an eye. She lost her job like a bubble blown in the air.? The worst thing is the reason for this is the man who proposed to her for marriage; the man she needed to marry. Is this just a dream? She pinched herself again, so if this is just a dream, she would like to wake up. No, this isn't a dream but a nightmare! She felt pain. Everything is real. This is reality. She lost her job. Now, she doesn't have a choice but to be with the man she hates the most. She needs a job for her family. Does fate hate her so much that their pathways need to cross? She didn't say a word. The man quietly stared at her. He is watching her facial reaction. He is standing next to the manager in front of her. She finally regained her consciousness when she heard the manager's voice again. "Take all your stuff, then go to the office and get your salary you worked for a few days," the manager said casually. So after all the loyalty, this is just how easy they'll fire her? Despite the raging emotions inside her, she cannot complain because that might just get the situation worse. "But, why did I get fired?" The manager looked back at her. "You are still asking?" he said and raise one of his eyebrows, "It's simple. Yesterday, you did a part-time job, am I right?" He looked at her as if waiting for her confirmation. "Taking a part-time job without permission from the company isn't allowed in this country. You are aware that what you have done is illegal, right?" Again, he looked at her intently.? She cleared her throat. She cannot say anything. No wonder this man is so brave to tell her that he can get her fired and how stupid of her to fall on the trap and even challenge him. Alex just stared at the woman who was caught in surprise when Daniel said that she is already fired. Well, he didn't have any intention of getting her terminated at work but she chose it. All he wants is to marry her and if she asks him to continue working, he will allow that.? But this woman is oozing with self-confidence and needs to be taught a lesson. She is so rude saying he couldn't understand her and even hung up the phone even if he isn't done speaking yet. That's too unacceptable for him. Diane's eyebrows are snapped together as she puts down the paper and pen that she is holding. It's was still early and not yet the peak hour. They don't have that many customers so she can leave the counter. She walked into the locker. She can feel her eyes getting warm but she fights back the tears. There's no way she will show the man that he defeated her. She took all her stuff in her locker and walked quietly into the manager's office to get her salary. Her final pay for her work here in the cafe. Her co-workers, everyone in the cafe, just looked at her quietly. In just a snap of a finger, she lost her job. Well, who should she blame for it? God. She just needed that job and how stupid of her to challenge this heartless man. Yes, a heartless man. This is the man who asked her manager to fire her because he wanted to marry her. He succeeded in his intention in just a matter of minutes. She let out a deep sigh in frustration. When Alex saw that Diane put down the ballpen and paper she's holding to get her belongings in the locker, he went out of the cafe and decided to wait for the woman outside. He shook his head. "Now, you see what happens to those who play with me," he said to himself and smirked. Excellent! The poor woman fell into her trap. He didn't need a lot of time to get her to accept the challenge.? On the other hand, Diane felt that she is so stupid. She thought that Alejandro was now laughing at her for winning her challenge. Even in the fire of emotions, Diane took a deep breath and calmed herself. This will be for only 2 years after that, they are over. She just needs to think that she will just be on vacation and on top of that, she will still be earning money to support her family.? He's drop-dead handsome. Well, this man will be her husband for the next 2 years, so she should get used to this kind of view every day. Goodness, what kind of brain does she have? She still fantasizes about the man who made her life miserable early in the morning. She can't help it. She just knows how to appreciate the beauty that God created.
