I AM MARRIED

Alex saw Diane coming out of the cafeteria. She's wearing a plain V-neck white T-shirt and black pants. Just an ordinary girl. She ponytailed her shiny black hair. Will this be the woman he's going to marry? He shook his head; he didn't have any choice, where would she get a wife to introduce to his family? He is lucky enough that he can manipulate Diane in his hands. She easily falls on his traps just like the challenge earlier. When he saw her almost near him, she turned around to open the passenger seat door and went straight inside the car. "Thank you," she said out of courtesy. She said it without looking at him. "You're welcome," he answered in a low voice. Is she mad? Wasn't she the one who started that challenge? What's with her? He just shrugged his shoulders and also quickly got in the car and drove away from the cafe. They were already five minutes away from the cafeteria when he spoke again. "Do you have your documents with you?" Then, he gave her a glance and turned his eyes again in the road. This time the woman looked at him. "Yes but why do you ask? Where are we going?" she replied. He can feel the sudden nervousness in her voice. He chuckled and looked at her again, "What else do you think? We're getting married," he said casually. Diane felt like she was on a roller coaster ride. Her world is turned upside down in just a matter of 24 hours. No, not even 24 hours. It's not even 24 hours when she met this guy and yet he caused a lot of havoc in her life. Things quickly happened. So quick, she can compare it to the speed of light. She lost her job that she prayed to have and now, this man announced that they are getting married. God, she has no boyfriend since birth. Never been touched! Never been kissed!? But here she is, getting married to a man she barely knew.? No one will ever agree to this kind of deal but maybe she's out of her mind. She doesn't know but Alejandro easily urged her to agree with the deal. Well, maybe because she doesn't have any job to rely on? This man took away the only thing that gave her pride; her rights to decline or refuse him. She looked at the man.? Well, he is a man in every woman's dream. She cannot deny that fact. But she is still wondering why he chose to pay her a huge amount of money just to marry him? What's with him? Well, that's out of her business. They are just getting married because of a deal. This is like a business deal. So she should stay out of his personal life. Oh, well! How can she do that if her soon-to-be husband is just so attractive? Can she hold herself if there will be women that will stare at him and look at him as if they want to devour him? Yes, she fantasized about him but, can they start at least from being girlfriend and boyfriend first so she can at least experience it? Well, she doesn't have the courage to ask the man; with his temper, she better be quiet and just follow whatever he is saying. Remember, she doesn't have any choice now. She lost her full-time job because she tried to provoke him so she better be a good girl. She doesn't know what else this man can do to her. God, but if he doesn't want to, that's perfectly fine. Who is she to refuse? Alejandro is handsome.? She did not lose anything, in fact she gained more. She shook her head and smiled. Alex saw Diane using his peripheral vision. He saw the woman smiling to herself. Has she gone crazy? "Are you okay?" He can't help himself but to smile. The woman suddenly changed her facial expression. She showed her serious face but quickly turned red and then bowed down her head because of embarrassment. "I am okay. Look at the road, not me!" The cat really got claws.? Finally, they arrived at their destination but they needed to wait. After a few hours of lining up in the queue, they finally completed the process. They signed a couple of documents and now they are holding their marriage certificate. Yes, they are already married. In just a matter of hours, Diane is already a wife. She is married. Every woman's dream is to be married.? For her, she doesn't know how to react. Should she be happy or should she cry? She got married out of extraordinary circumstances. She married a good-looking man but she doesn't even know his name. No introduction. Nada. She only learned his name from her friend Jenny. This man, he didn't even bother to introduce himself to her. But after signing the document, she was able to at least prove that Alejandro is his real name. He knows his name at least. Thanks to their marriage certificate. She wanted to shout and let everybody know that she is already married. But wait, Adrian suddenly popped inside her mind. What will happen to Adrian? What happens if he finds out?? Stupid woman! She didn't think again before agreeing with this deal. Oh, well. This is only for 2 years after that, they both have their freedom. No one should know that she got married. This is just marriage in papers. After 2 years, they will get a divorce.? This is just a marriage for convenience. After 2 years, she'll be back again and see Adrian. He wouldn't know about this foolishness she did. "Let's go," he said. They left the registration office while still holding onto their marriage certificate.? She followed him walking in the parking lot's direction and got in the car. This is done. It's official. They are husband and wife.? Welcome to married life. "Where is your place?" he said after starting the car. She looked at him.? "Since we are now married, let's go get your things and you need to move in with me." She told him where she lives but before going straight to her apartment, the car stopped at a parking lot of an expensive restaurant. She looked at the man next to her. "Let's eat first before getting your things. It's almost lunchtime and I know that you are hungry too." Wow, her husband is starting to think about her now. She just nodded in response.? They entered the restaurant. She felt that everyone inside the restaurant was looking at them. Well, it's not because of her but because of the man standing next to her. Is he really that striking that they couldn't hide their reactions and boldly let him see that they are following him with their eyes? She knows her husband is like a model and she needs to get used to the attention that he's getting.? Well, sorry for them. He's already married. He just married her couple of hours ago. If they really like him, then wait until the 2-year contract ends. She smiled to herself triumphantly. They finally reached their table. Alex pulled out a chair for her to sit down before pulling out a chair for himself. The waiter was alert and he quickly came to take their orders. "Please, I'll order whatever you order," she said to Alex. "Just get me a glass of lemon mint juice." Their table is next to the glass window. They could easily see the people passing by on the side of the road as well as the cars. She noticed two men who quickly rode on cheap cars. She frowned. Why do those two look familiar to her? She seems to know them. She wanted to chase them but she won't be able to catch them. She sighed. Well, all her movements seem to be observed by her husband. "Are you okay?"? Why does he always ask if she's okay? Does she look like she's not? Wow, or does he feel guilty for trapping her into this marriage? The conceited man also has a soft side then. She looked away and said, "Yes, I am okay. Don't worry about me. I should be able to manage." "Well, it's just as if you saw someone you know." "Uh… yeah, but I think I may have been mistaken," she replied. Thankfully, Alejandro didn't ask any more questions. Well, it's too quick for John to know where she was. They shouldn't know where she is now except if the dorm called them and told them that she isn't there. Besides, no one knows where she is. She didn't tell anyone. She doesn't want to go home. She doesn't want to see her father. She isn't ready to see her father. Not now.
