Chapter 15
It was another quiet afternoon. I was going over the tavern's accounts when one of my old guards showed up at the door.
Of course, they found me eventually. Wolves never stopped tracking.
"Luna," he said, stepping up to the bar.
"I'm not the Grimoire pack's Luna anymore. Call me Nova," I replied.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, then finally said with effort, "Alright, Nova."
"You haven't been answering my calls for a long time, so I had to track you down. I'm sorry, but there are things I have to tell you."
I set my pen down, raising my eyes to him. "What is it?"
He took a deep breath.
"Silas has locked himself in the old tower you used to live in for days. He's ignoring all pack duties, obsessing over the past. He barely sleeps. He's unraveling in front of everyone."
I already knew that. I dropped my gaze and said flatly, "That's none of my concern."
