Back when I asked for a divorce, Ethan refused. After I calmed down, I realized I didn't have that kind of courage after all.
Then, Mia kept provoking me. She came to our home and showed me photos of them in bed right in my face.
In a hysterical rage, I called Ethan back home and slapped him in a blind rage. As I drew my hand back for another strike, he caught my wrist.
With a look of pure disgust, he shoved me hard, sending me sprawling onto the couch.
"That's enough! Are you done making a scene? Can you stop acting like a damn madwoman? Look at yourself. How do you measure up to Mia's sensibility?"
What did that feel like back then? I couldn't remember clearly. Probably like I couldn't breathe, my whole body trembling, and my heart screaming in pain.
