Allison's POV
I couldn't believe how cruel Liam could be. His words cut deeper than claws, leaving me speechless as I stood there like a wounded pup.
"There's a shopping mall across the street," Liam said, his tone making it clear this wasn't a suggestion. "Go browse around. I'll find you when I'm done." Just like that, he'd decided my afternoon for me.
The mall was across a busy street—what if he used this opportunity to ditch me? I shook my head. "I'd rather wait for you here." I brushed some dust off the edge of a stone planter and sat down, trying to appear comfortable. "This spot is perfect."
