Chapter 113:Deadly Realizations
(Alexander's POV)
I sat in Jason's car, my eyes glued to the black SUV as its taillights disappeared through the gates of the seaside mansion. Fury burned through my veins like molten silver. That car. That maddeningly sleek, familiar car.
"Jason," I growled, my voice low and icy, "how long has that mansion been occupied?"
Jason hesitated for a moment as though considering his words carefully. "Alpha, it’s only been in active use for the past month," he finally answered, his hands tightening on the steering wheel. "Records show renovations started right before the marking ceremony postponement with Scarlett."
The mention of Scarlett's name was enough to make my jaw tighten, fists clenching against the armrest. My chest heaved with predatory rage. A moment of clarity struck me—the timing wasn’t coincidental.
"So, you’re telling me," I began, struggling to maintain an even tone, "this started because of her?"
Jason’s silence spoke volumes, but his slight nod confirmed my suspicion.
