The bitter winter wind cut through my jacket as I stood outside my pack house, staring at my phone. No new messages. No missed calls. Nothing.
Scarlett was gone.
I'd heard the news through pack channels this morning - Roman Thorne had left the Northern territories, taking Scarlett with him. Back to the Eastern territories. Back to where she truly belonged, according to Aiden Walsh.
Snow fell heavily around me, covering the ground in a thick white blanket that matched the cold emptiness spreading through my chest. My wolf, Mason, paced restlessly beneath my skin, agitated in a way I couldn't fully understand.
"Alpha," Jason Reed called from the doorway. "Your car is ready."
