(Scarlett's POV) The Eastern territories welcomed us with familiar crisp air and the scent of pine forests. As our private helicopter descended onto the landing pad, I felt a strange mixture of homecoming and apprehension. This was where I'd grown up, but also where everything had changed. Hunter and Aiden stood waiting as we exited the helicopter. The wind whipped my hair around my face as Roman's hand rested protectively on my lower back.
