Chapter 209:Desperate Plea and Cruel Scheme
(Sarah's POV)
The morning air bit into my skin as I stood outside the Walsh family residence, pacing back and forth. I'd been waiting for nearly two hours, my anxiety growing with each passing minute. The guard wolves had informed Hazel of my presence, but she clearly wasn't in a hurry to see me.
Finally, the ornate wooden door opened, and Hazel Walsh emerged. Despite the casual jeans and sweater she wore, she carried herself with the authority befitting her status as a renowned European healer.
"Sarah Winter," she acknowledged coolly. "To what do I owe this unexpected visit?"
I rushed forward, abandoning all pretense of dignity. "Please, Hazel. You have to help my daughter. She's dying!"
Hazel's expression didn't change. "Which daughter?"
The question stopped me short. Her tone was deliberately pointed, making me uncomfortable.
"Grace," I clarified, swallowing hard. "The silver poisoning is spreading. She coughed up blood again yesterday."
