Chapter 260:A Culinary Disaster
(Emma's POV)
I stared in horror at the pot of noodles I'd just cooked. What had started as a simple lunch had transformed into an unidentifiable mass that could barely be called food. The thick, congealed substance stared back at me mockingly. An hour and a half had passed since I'd begun cooking, and this disaster was my second attempt. I'd secretly disposed of the first catastrophe down the drain when Erik wasn't looking.
How had this happened? I'd made noodles for Scarlett before, and she'd praised them! Well, kind of. She ate them at least.
I poked at the sticky mess with a spoon. The noodles had fused together into some kind of doughy mass. Maybe I hadn't used enough water? Or too much flour? The tutorial had seemed so straightforward.
Erik's deep voice cut through my spiraling thoughts. "Is it ready?"
