Sarah’s POV
"Alexander..." I managed to choke out.
Then his expression darkened further.
In one swift movement, his large hand grabbed the collar of my shirt and began dragging me out of the room without a word.
I stumbled as he pulled me into the hallway. Fighting back tears, I said, "Alexander, I know I was wrong."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"Sorry?" His laugh was brief, just two short sounds.

My body was roughly pinned against the wall. Alexander loomed over me, his laughter completely gone, dark eyes blazing with fury. "Does 'sorry' fix anything?"
"Or is it because Thea Blackwood isn't your child, so you don't care? You think a casual apology is enough after what you've done?"
