Chapter 37
Summer's POV
I woke to the sound of birds chirping outside the hospital window, momentarily disoriented by the unfamiliar surroundings. Alexander was already awake, his hair slightly disheveled, making him look unexpectedly boyish despite the powerful aura that constantly surrounded him. He was speaking quietly on the phone, his voice a low rumble that sent pleasant shivers down my spine.
When he noticed me stirring, his expression softened. "Morning, beautiful. Felix is doing well - nurses checked on him twice during the night."
I stretched, feeling the kinks in my back from sleeping in the uncomfortable hospital bed. "Can I see him?"
"Doctor Miller said we can visit as soon as you're ready."
I quickly freshened up in the small adjoining bathroom, splashing cold water on my face to chase away the last vestiges of sleep.
The pediatric recovery ward was quieter than I expected as we made our way to Felix's room. A nurse intercepted us before we reached his door.
"Luna? Your son woke up
