Chapter27: Failed Plan

SARA’S POV  I paced aimlessly in my room, my mind was occupied and my ears were on alert, waiting for any scream from downstairs but even though it had been hours, I heard no sound at all.  I was getting impatient, how long would it take for a kid to be killed? The maid was wasting time and it was annoying me to the core. If there was anything I hated, it was incompetence.  I continued pacing around in my room, awaiting a report from the silly maid but none came and I finally got tired.  I returned to my bed where I dropped my purse a few hours ago and picked it up. If the maid wouldn’t come to me, I would go to her.  I left my room in search of the maid. I went to the maid’s quarters but she wasn’t there. I went to the kitchen, but she wasn’t there either. I searched for her for a while but she was nowhere to be found and I was about to give up when I heard a very loud scream.  My heart jumped and my face twitched. I wasn’t able to recognize whose voice was that but I wasn’t concerned
