Amber’s POV Some time passed before the other Healers and me were able to identify what was causing Julian’s mother’s condition to crash, but when we finally did, it was a relief to hear the sirens and whistles stop. For now, she was out of the woods, at least as much as she had been before this medical episode began. Some of the Healers patted me on the back. Most of them I had known closely from my time working with the pack as Healer Amanda, and those ones seemed grateful and eager for my help. The newer faces among them seemed less eager to accept my help. In fact, one of them even stepped forward.
