Amber’s POV When the plane touched down in Rafael’s pack, we walked out to find Rafael waiting for us out on the tarmac. He smiled at me and Alice, while glared openly at Julian. I had sent him a heads up message that Julian was going to be with us, but he hadn’t been happy about it, even as he did change the travel info to include him. Now, Rafael picked up Alice into a big hug. To Julian and me, he said, “The reporters are lined out in front of the airport. They are eager to see you again, sister, as well as to hear a few words. I have our security carving a path, but they are quite insistent.” From beside me, I could feel Julian’s eyes on me. He had done well to shield us at the airport in his pack. Now it was my turn.
