#Chapter 55: The Home Improvement Network
I picked the card up from the table and inspected it carefully. Surely Ethan wasn’t serious, but I couldn’t ask. He retreated upstairs to his room, knowing that I would just continue to argue. I put it back down on the wooden surface of the table, left it, and went upstairs to my own room to get some sleep.
I’d let Ethan have the night to sleep on his decision.
The next morning, Ethan was already at work by the time I got up. I went down into the kitchen, the card was left exactly where I put it, and there was a small note written in Ethan’s loopy cursive laying beside it.
