Katelyn’s POV
The club buzzed with energy. Bright lights flashed across the dance floor, music pulsed through the speakers, and laughter filled the air.
It felt good to be surrounded by this atmosphere—alive, vibrant, and carefree. For once, my heart felt lighter.
After confronting Ethan tonight, something inside me had shifted. The painful wounds he’d left on my heart slowly began to heal. Facing him, telling him the truth I’d held back for years, had released something heavy inside me.
I took a slow sip from my glass, the cold drink cooling my throat. My mind wandered briefly to Peter and Ryan.
Their failed attempt to frame me still amused me. Their arrogance and cruelty had turned into their own trap. Thinking of their faces earlier tonight brought a quiet satisfaction.
