Chapter 2 A Crazy Night

Caitlyn's POV "Did you have a pleasant night?" My father, settled in the cozy living room, offered a casual wave, his approval for Jayce always evident. "Not bad," I replied, withholding certain details. Retreating to my room, my mind became a whirlpool fixated on what had happened tonight. I wrestled with my pillows to prop myself up, and soon I fell asleep with a heavy heart. Late at night, I woke up from a vivid and lengthy nightmare. In this dream, I experienced a surreal fall through an abyss of darkness, where fragmented rays of light swirled around me. Amidst this chaotic setting, I heard Jayce professing his love for Morgana, while Morgana's unsettling laughter echoed in the background. I labored to rise, the late night enshrouding me. My heart lay heavy, a burden of stone, suffocating my breath. Without knowing how much time passed, I turned off my cell phone and drove aimlessly through the city until I arrived at a lavishly decorated bar. I had never visited such a place in my entire life, but tonight I desired to abandon everything and let loose. Two imposing bouncers stood at the entrance. After I gave them a generous tip, they respectfully ushered me inside. The sight that met my eyes was astounding—the entire bar pulsated with thunderous music, the dance floor packed with people moving to the rhythm with abandon. I sought solace in a secluded booth, approached the bartender, and requested a couple of highballs. To me, alcohol was the elixir that could temporarily ease my pain during such times." "Hey, it appears to be your first venture into this realm, and I hope it brings you delight." The bartender mixed a drink and pushed it in front of me. His voice was contrasting humorously with the long scar etched on his face. I nodded, then drank the glass of wine in one gulp. Its warmth coursed down my throat, swiftly igniting an intense sensation, as if a dormant volcano erupted within every fiber of my being, reaching its peak after mere moments. I drew a deep breath and promptly reached for a second glass. "Hey, I understand it's a delightful taste, but if this is your first time trying this beverage, I recommend you set it down now, or you'll get drunk soon." A man with a captivating voice suddenly approached my side. He seated himself next to me, covering my glass with his hand, wearing a wicked smile. I was taken aback, and truthfully, he was the most handsome man I had ever encountered. He sported a head of sleek black hair, ice-blue eyes that were both changeable and cold, a slightly unbuttoned white shirt collar, and shirt cuffs rolled up to his mid-arm, revealing wheat-colored skin. I couldn't quite explain why, but there was an air of undeniable authority about him. From the very first moment I laid eyes on him, my heart began to race. Compared to the wine I had just consumed, his smile seemed to radiate even greater intensity, causing my entire body to flush with warmth. "Alright... Thank you." "Try this. It's more suitable for women." His voice held a magical quality, and despite its softness, it rendered refusal nearly impossible. I compliantly accepted the glass he offered, catching a lingering whiff of his ambergris scent on the rim. Gently cradling the glass, I took a sip, the refreshment instantly enveloping my entire body and providing such comfort that an involuntary moan escaped my lips. "You're quite cute." The man remarked, slowly taking hold of my hand. His palm possessed a softness that contrasted with his bold demeanor. Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that his hand held a mysterious and somewhat unnerving power. I instinctively pulled my hand away from his grip. However, it felt as though my hand had slipped beyond my control, finding itself nestled in his, as if granting an unspoken agreement. I couldn't comprehend why I was feeling this way. I didn't want to come across as just another woman, yet I found myself relishing his touch. It stirred a peculiar sensation within me. He locked his gaze onto my eyes, his stare so intense that it felt as though an irresistible enchantment resided within them. Gradually, I felt my entire body sinking, momentarily blurring the five years I'd spent with Jayce. "What's your name?" His voice reached my ear, a ragged breath that made my ears tinge with warmth. "Caitlyn." I hesitated briefly before disclosing my name. "A charming name," he responded playfully, not sharing his own name with me. "The air in here is stifling. Shall we find another place?" His tone carried a softness, yet an underlying imperiousness. I realized the implications of saying yes, and I lightly bit my lip in an attempt to clear my thoughts. However, a dizzy sensation overcame me, making it feel as though I were floating. His eyes brimmed with excitement and desire. Soon, he was leading me by the hand toward the back door of the bar. An hour later, we arrived at his residence. It was evident that this was a temporary refuge. I considered regretting my decision to leave that room, but an inner voice persistently urged me not to. The man gasped as he pushed me onto the bed upon entering the room. His firm chest pressed against mine, akin to a beast driven by desire. My heart raced, and the heat within me intensified as I attempted to push back. However, my movement was misinterpreted as rejection. He handled me somewhat roughly, pulling my arms above me and pinning me down. "Look at me." His eyes staring back at me with a hungry force I hadn't expected to see. I wasn't sure what he was doing, and when he ventured further south, I realized the destination he had in mind. A soft cry left my throat as the feeling of his lips and tongue upon my core created a build within my stomach. My body trembled at his touch, not with fear, but with something else. "No! This wasn't right! I shouldn't have felt this way..." I thought. I felt ashamed of myself for my pleasure, but I just couldn't control herself. It was as if my body had been checked out from my brain and was operating on its own. Through all the mess and chaos, my soft moans admitted the desire within that I refused to acknowledge — I wanted him. I didn't want to admit it – but I did. I felt as if I had betrayed Jayce and was ashamed of my own reactions. "Don't be afraid; tonight will be unforgettable," he promised. He disrobed effortlessly, leaving no trace, and delicately brushed my face with his fingers. He gently helped me tuck my disheveled hair behind my ear. Before I could process what was happening, he surged forward once again, and in the next instant, a hand as searing as a branding iron roamed over my body. It caressed me mercilessly, causing my consciousness to blur. "No, don't!" I protested. However, soon, pain shot through my entire body, and I let out a reluctant hiss. I slapped my hands against the man's smooth spine with force, only managing to further excite him. He paid no attention to my protests, arching his back. A low, frenzied growl escaped his throat once more. His eyes turned crimson, ablaze with desire. I couldn't recall how much time had passed. Desire consumed me like a fire, alternately plunging me to the depths of the ocean and lifting me into the clouds. The man before me offered an entirely unique experience.
