Chapter 43
Sydney's POV
I slammed my laptop shut, causing some of the attendees to raise their eyebrows. I smiled back politely and turned my attention to the speaker of the day.
The day had been hectic since I arrived this morning. It was one task after another, one meeting following the next. We had just finished the first session of the seminar on jewelry design hosted by our pack's company. Thankfully, there was a short break before the second session.
I traipsed to my office, dumped my laptop on my desk, and walked out of the building complex, exhausted. I just wanted to be alone while getting some fresh air after being stuck in that conference room for hours!
"You need some fresh air," Aria, my wolf, murmured in my mind. "The conference room's scents were overwhelming."
"I know, Aria," I thought back. "Let's get some coffee and recharge."
I walked to the cafe next to the office building for a cup of coffee. The cafe was a perfect place I could hide and none of the other employees would spot
