Sydney's POV
I stirred, slowly regaining consciousness. The first thing I noticed was the familiar scent of Lucas - a comforting blend of pine and rain. My eyes fluttered open, and there he was, his face etched with concern.
"Sydney, are you alright? The pack doctor said..." Lucas's voice trailed off as he realized I wasn't fully processing his words.
I blinked, trying to piece together what had happened. The last thing I remembered was collapsing into Lucas's arms, his panicked voice calling my name. I had expected to wake up in a hospital room, but instead, I found myself in the cozy familiarity of my own bedroom.
Aria whimpered softly in my mind. "You scared us, Sydney. We need to take better care of ourselves."
"Are you okay?" Lucas repeated, his warm hands enveloping mine. His brows were furrowed, eyes searching mine intently. The worry in his gaze was palpable.
