His intense black eyes flickered toward me, studying my face in the dashboard's soft glow.
He lowered the window slightly, cool rain-scented air rushing into the car.
Resting his fingers thoughtfully on his strong jawline, he stared out at the wet road.
"I'm not a charity," he finally said, his voice low and controlled. "Besides, no matter how much I invest in Snyder Group, there's no saving a pack that's determined to run itself into the ground."
I bit my lip, knowing he was right.
The Snyder Group was failing because of Alpha Timothy's outdated leadership and refusal to adapt.
