I watched as Thea smoothed down her dress, her nervous hands shaking as she sat beside her relatives. I watched from the back, silently mourning along with the Coleman family. "Today we are here to celebrate and honor the repose of a soul very dear to us. We are here to remember the life Nova Coleman lived and the way she has immersed herself so deeply into our hearts." The pastor spoke. It was a closed casket funeral, for Thea decided it was best not to see her body as she may not be able to handle it emotionally. The ceremony went on, relatives and friends of Thea's mother coming up to share stories and say their final goodbyes. She hadn't gone up yet to speak, and just as I was beginning to why, a voice cleared and my eyes ripped their gaze from the floor. "Before my father died, he spoke of how he wanted to sing this for my mother at her funeral. In his place, I will give tribute to her myself." She said, her voice lacking its usual confidence
