My mind spun with information as I laid back against the headboard. It was a werewolf that killed him? A werewolf that hospitalized me for weeks on end, enabling me from attending my own father's funeral? My heart was beating rapidly as I breathed slowly, trying to make sense of it all.
I can't handle being lied to again. If what Raven is saying about 'never hurting me' doesn't prove to be true, I would be utterly heartbroken. I don't want to believe a word he says, but a part of me deep down tells me otherwise.
I tugged at my hair, frustrated that my life always had to go awry right when things get better. It's unfair. Completely unfair. But there's no point in sitting around and complaining anymore; this time I have the opportunity to get the answers I deserve.
