Howard froze. "How is that possible? My wife and I never got divorced." The clerk looked at him with disdain. "The system shows that you two processed your divorce five days ago, and it was a court-ordered divorce at that. Now you're here looking for your ex-wife again. "Don't tell me you regret it? Are you planning to do something inappropriate to your ex-wife?" The clerk waved dismissively at Howard. "I've seen plenty of scumbags like you.
