Chapter 205
SERAPHINA
The meeting with the Elders was held the next day in the council chamber. Elder Marcus, Elder Thorne, and Elder Lydia sat with serious expressions, listening as Kaelos and I explained the situation.
“Remarkable,” Elder Marcus murmured, his eyes sparkling with something that made my stomach uneasy—ambition. “Children with such gifts... they will be the greatest leaders the Nightveil Pack has ever had.”
“They're only two years old,” I cut in sharply. “They're children, not... not weapons or assets for the Pack.”
Elder Lydia, who was always more empathetic, nodded in understanding. “Luna Seraphina is right. We must be careful. Gifts like this can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how we handle them.”
“What do you suggest?” Kaelos asked.
Elder Thorne, an old man with deep wisdom, thought for a moment. "First, we must limit their exposure to the Pack.
The fewer who know about their full abilities, the better. Rumors have already started to spread, but we can downplay them.“ ”
