Three days passed.
Three days of endless meetings, strategy sessions, and delicate negotiations.
I didn’t sleep much. None of us did.
Kaelos and Callista worked beside me day and night, reinforcing alliances, dispatching envoys, drafting new trade offers to outmaneuver Cassian’s bribes. Every victory felt temporary. Every rumor that reached our war chamber felt like the spark of another fire we had to extinguish.
