Chapter 9
Seraphina's POV
Darius froze. I turned and saw a tall figure with a sharp, frightening gaze—his aura was so dominant that the air around him felt tense. He was Kaelos, the Alpha of the Nightveil Pack. I didn't know how long he had been standing there.
“If you dare to raise your hand to strike him again,” Kaelos said in a low, threatening voice, “I won't hesitate to ensure that the Blue Ridge Pack will have a new heir.”
Darius's face paled instantly. Even my father, standing not far from us, looked startled by the direct threat. Everyone knew that Kaelos never made empty threats.
"You are on my territory," Kaelos said coldly. "And you just threatened someone under my protection."
Darius backed away with a wary and fearful look, “But she hurt my mate.” He protested, though his voice wasn't as strong as before.
"I didn't see her do anything," Kaelos replied calmly but dangerously. "All I saw was you trying to attack a woman standing on my territory. That could be considered a declaration
