"See? I told you you'd be fine. You're seriously hard to kill—like, if fate really wanted you gone, you'd have been taken out ages ago!" Sophia cracked a half-joke.
“Heh.” Denise let out a faint, goofy chuckle.
Sophia wasn’t wrong. If fate really had it out for her, Denise would’ve been gone by now.
Soon after, the boat finally docked.
The captain told everyone to disembark and rest on the island for a bit—wait until the tsunami passed before heading back.
Since the boat belonged to William, it wasn’t all that big. Aside from the two captains, there were two crew members, two bodyguards left by William, and then just Denise and Sophia.
