Chapter 81: The Betrayal
Nolan's POV
"Answers? Behind hospital doors? I don't understand," she said looking confused as to why I pulled over in front of a hospital.
"You've been wanting to know this truth for a very long time right? What's wrong now that it's right in front of you? Are you scared because you don't know what it might be?" I asked.
She furrowed her brows. "I'm not scared. I'm just surprised. Anyone would be. You showed up at my doorstep all of a sudden. I thought you were going to drive us towards the school since that's what we are dressed for but you pulled up in a hospital instead."
"We can skip school for today. It's no big deal. No one is going to find out. Come on," I said unbuckling my seat belt and getting out of the car. She hurried after me.
"Won't you at least tell me what to prepare for? I don't want to be caught off guard," she said.
"Are you scared?" I teased.
"I told you I'm not," she retorted.
"You don't have to worry about anything. You don't need to be guarded," I muttered walk
