Chapter 6 Pretending to be innocent?
Suddenly hearing James Parker's voice, Jana Anderson was stunned for a moment, and the scenes at the wedding that year floated in her mind. His ruthlessness and distrust made her still chill when she thought about it.
James Parker put a file bag on the desk and looked down at the woman sitting on the chair.
His expression changed suddenly, and his pupils shrank suddenly, "You...Jana Anderson?!" Her appearance shocked him, she came back?
Jana Anderson didn't make a sound yet, but Sebastian Park, who was sitting in the Executive Chair, looked at them intriguingly, "What? You know each other?"
"I don't know!" Jana Anderson blurted out, almost without thinking.
James Parker was silent for a moment and then sneered, "I really don't know, the Jana Anderson I knew is dead."
Jana Anderson finally raised her eyes to stare at him, and the two looked at each other in the air, clearly showing a depressing atmosphere.
Jana Anderson finally kept her cool. She just reported to the company today, and a big fight with James Parker here will not do her any good.
She pursed her lips and looked away, as if she really didn't know him.
"Uncle, who is she?" James Parker was still staring at her, why is she here?
Sebastian Park had already seen the reactions of the two of them, and he just pretended that he didn't know anything, and said quietly, "She is the newly hired designer of the company."
designer? She has this ability now?
After five years of not seeing her, she was still the same as before. He thought she would be down and out and have a bad life, but he never thought that she was better than before, and she also added a touch of charm.
James Parker secretly clenched his fists.
"You can go back when you have nothing to do." Sebastian Park accepted the document bag he sent over.
Only then did James Parker look away, his tense face was obviously suppressed, but he said nothing, nodded to Sebastian Park and strode away.
Jana Anderson's tense heartstrings loosened at the sound of his footsteps walking away.
She didn't expect her new boss to be James Parker's Uncle!
It's just... Sebastian Park doesn't look like he's more than thirty years old.
Her heart was still disturbed after all, and she maintained her superficial composure, "President, can I go back to work?"
Sebastian Park gave her a gloomy look, "Go."
He saw the look of helplessness in her eyes, it seemed that Isaac Brooks' investigation was correct, she was his nephew's ex-girlfriend.
Jana Anderson left the CEO's Office and walked towards the elevator in a daze. A hand suddenly reached out from the corner and grabbed her.
"Ah..." she let out a low cry, and the man immediately covered her mouth, dragged her to a corner where no one was around, and let her go.
"James Parker? What do you want?" She broke free from the shackles, and when she saw who was tying her up, she felt sullen.
James Parker leaned forward and approached her, "I should be the one asking you this question, why do you still have the face to come back? What do you want to do in Gienius Group?"
Jana Anderson didn't back down, and looked up at him, "Didn't you hear it just now, I'm a designer at Gienius Group now, of course I'm here to work, what else can I do?"
"Work? Heh... I'm afraid you have another purpose!" He clenched his jaw and approached her, "Are you trying to seduce my uncle again?"
Jana Anderson's eyes narrowed, she waved his hand away, and slapped him with it!
"James Parker! You better stop talking nonsense or I'll sue you for defamation!"
After being slapped by her, James Parker was also angry, "Aren't you such a lowly woman? Why are you still pretending to be innocent?"
"James Parker, you don't have to believe me, but you can't insult me! You can believe a word from Lydia Thompson, why don't you believe me?" She knew that he was still insulting her for those photos back then.
"Also, do you believe those photos are real? Have you ever wondered why the photos were at the wedding?"
James Parker stared at her with an ugly face, a little shaken in his heart, but he still didn't believe it, "Do you dare to say that you haven't betrayed me?"
Jana Anderson was tired, and looked at him indifferently, "Believe it or not, we have nothing to do with each other anyway." After she finished speaking, she hurried past him and left.
She later learned that the reason why James Parker had such a young uncle was because Mr. Parker was an elder who had a son, and Sebastian Park was the youngest son when he was nearly fifty years old.
If she had known this in the first place, she would never have come to work at Gienius Group.
