It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise to find out that Bonnie’s parents were as kind as she was. When we were all introduced to each other, they treated me as though I was like everyone else. They had asked me about how I was handling my transition from my previous school along with how my classes were going. It was an easy and light conversation to have, yet it had me missing my mother all the more. But, on the other hand, I was glad I had listened to Bonnie and took a much-needed break.
