Chapter 89
These days, the only thing keeping Dominic from killing Marceline on sight was his respect for Curtis.
Nobody in Curtis' circle could stand Marceline. She was better off staying home, looking pretty, and keeping her mouth shut.
Jenna's eyes welled up as she held Lyana's hand. "Lyana, we're all waiting for you to wake up."
But Lyana lay still and pale, her eyes closed. She had been like that for more than three years.
Dominic was burning up inside. He dragged Curtis into the hallway.
"When the hell are you divorcing that bitch?" he snapped.
They used to be practically inseparable. But ever since Curtis got married, they rarely showed up at the same events, except for Lyana's birthday, when everyone made a point to be there.
Dominic had Curtis by the collar.
"Soon," Curtis said, his smile cold and empty.
"Curtis, when I asked you the same damn question two years ago, you said 'soon.' A year ago, you gave me the same answer. So what now? You're in love with that vicious bitch?"
