Simon's POV
The moonlight spilled across the balcony, silvering the edges of her hair as if the night itself wanted to crown her. Aisha stood there in silence, looking out over the training grounds where just hours ago the hospital's new donors had gathered to celebrate her latest achievement. She had done it again. She had proven to every doubter, every skeptic, that she could move mountains.
I leaned against the doorway for a moment, watching her. She hadn't noticed me yet. Her shoulders were relaxed, but I could sense the quiet hum of her mind, still working, still planning. That was who she was. She didn't know how to stop.
"You should be resting," I said, stepping toward her.
