Aisha' s POV
Watching Simon stand there in his wolf form, barely managing to hold himself upright, something inside me broke.
His fur was slick with blood, his limbs trembling, and I could see the strain in every step he took. Yet he didn't falter. He didn't run.
Jack had him cornered—me bound behind him and Simon too injured to fight properly. And still, my Alpha—my Simon—stood between me and death like a shield forged from sheer will.
"Look at you," Jack sneered. "You can barely stay on your feet, and you think you can fight me?"
His laugh grated like broken glass.
"If you care about her, hurt yourself," he continued with a twisted grin. "Submit. Crawl. Maybe then I'll let her live."
"Simon, no!" I screamed, tugging uselessly at the ropes biting into my wrists. "Please, go! You'll die if you stay!"
Simon's large black wolf turned to me briefly. His golden eyes met mine, glowing with something deeper than words—conviction. I felt our bond tug like a lifeline, and my tears came harder.
