Panic hit Natalie the moment she heard those words. She quickly placed a protective hand over her stomach. The Ashworth family wasn't the same as it used to be. They'd been hanging by a thread financially for some time. If Natalie lost this baby, her chances of ever marrying Hugh would be gone. Even worse, she could end up married to that disgusting old man and be nothing more than his toy. Her face drained of color. Without thinking, she grabbed the phone, ready to call Emilia, who always put family first. She'd do anything to protect Natalie once she learned about the pregnancy. But before Natalie could dial, Hugh kicked the phone out of her hand. Then, he rose to his feet and tilted her chin up with the tip of his shoe. He said coldly, "Get rid of the baby. The divorce is done, so it doesn't matter whether you agree or not. Quit pulling tricks. You'd better apologize to Kel when I find her. I might spare you if she forgives you."
