Chapter 124
Christina's POV
"Let go of me!" I twisted my wrist free from Niall's grip. "You have no right to touch me!"
Niall staggered back, his wedding suit looking even more pathetic up close. The once-pristine white shirt was now stained with what looked like wine, whiskey, and possibly vomit.
"I need to talk to you," he slurred, swaying on his feet. "It's important."
Ysolde stepped between us. "Back off, Niall. You're drunk, and Christina doesn't want to talk to you."
Niall shook his head violently, almost falling off the barstool in the process. His bloodshot eyes locked onto my hand as he reached for it again.
"Stop it!" I snapped, yanking it away. "Don't touch me."
He looked absolutely pathetic, like a kicked puppy who deserved every kick.
He opened his mouth—maybe to apologize—but all that came out was a slurred, "You've got to lisssten..."
I gave him a light shove, not particularly hard.
